A small tech tip to help you stay digitally organized.
Let’s talk about your internet browser bookmark bar.
I know, I know – you know what it is.
But when was the last time you cleaned it out? Taking 5 minutes to organize your bookmarks bar really helps make your daily life run smoother.
Mine?
⋆ Google Calendar (obviously)
⋆ Gmail
⋆ A business folder (yes you can make folders!) containing bookmarks to all the apps I use for my business
⋆ Dashlane, my password repository (p.s. you need one if you don’t have one)
⋆ NYT
⋆ My online CLE (continuing legal education credits I need for my license) site
⋆ A folder for my daughter that includes links to library event calendars, her daycare center, etc.
⋆ AmazonSmile
And I don’t currently have this, but you could have a “Read” folder and save those articles in it that you leave open intending to read and suddenly you have 49 open. And then you can close all those tabs resting easy that they’re saved!
Afraid you won’t read them? Calendar a repeating window to “Read articles in bookmarks folder ‘Read’” on a weekly or monthly basis. Done.
Being able to pull up your Chrome browser and quickly get to your main sites just makes your day run a tiny bit smoother. Less frustration is a win in my book!
Are you good at keeping yours up to date, or is it the equivalent of a dark, spiderweb-filled overstuffed closet you forgot about?
