The mental load women carry is no joke. Yet most time management systems don’t address it (other than perhaps telling you to get it out of your head and onto a to-do list – but without more, well… we all know how well that works).
On top of a career and taking care of ourselves, women often play the point person for things like:
▻ Organizing holiday visits, travel, and other extended family coordination;
▻ Figuring out how dinner, bath and bedtime will work if we go to that fun outdoor party – and what time we have to leave to make it all come together;
▻ Coordinating kids’ birthday parties and gifts – and those for all of their friends; and
▻ Creating grocery lists, shopping/ordering, and figuring out when to start cooking.
This mental load stuff matters. A lot.
It requires time, brain space, and energy that otherwise could go to something else – from work to relaxing. It weighs us down.
We need a system designed to lighten the load – both in terms of helping us get the stuff done without our brains constantly whirring to make it happen AND in a way that helps us better share the load with our partners and/or others in our support system.
My time management method does this. And don’t just take my word for it:
“After going through Kelly’s program, I have less stress, more clarity, confidence, and honestly more sanity. I feel lighter, and when I have downtime, I can actually relax…”
– Tala, Physician & Mom
“[Kelly’s method] really does reduce the mental load!”
– Natalie, Management Consultant
“For the first time, I feel truly able to quantify my workload and needs to the people in my world who can help, from my boss to my husband!”
– Nicole, Associate IT Director & Mom
You need a system that doesn’t just help you manage your to-do lists, but that helps you manage all the stuff whizzing around in your head that never even makes it onto a to-do list.
If you’re ready to get that system working for you, join my next program. We kick off April 30th. You can learn more about it and enroll here! Also feel free to send me an email at ke***@ke********.com with any questions.
I’d love to help you lighten that mental load. It’s possible, and it’s worth it.
