It ain’t sexy. But it’s effective.
Want to make 2020 one for the books — hitting your professional and personal goals out of the park?
It all comes back to the time you devote to them.
Let’s say your goal is to cook at home 4 nights a week. Block 45 minutes on Thursday evening to meal plan for the week and create your shopping list. Order Instacart at that time (#notanad #justlove) or block an hour on Saturday morning to grocery shop. For the meal prep, block one big block of time or four smaller ones. Repeat all on a weekly basis.
Yes, you can and will move these blocks of time around each week as your schedule shifts, but they will serve as reminders that you need to find time for them if you want to live out your goal.
Everything — EVERYTHING — comes back to the time you devote to it.
Want to improve your relationship? Schedule recurring blocks of time to go out on dates or just finish work by 6pm so you can be present when you’re at home.
Want to learn a new language? Block 30 minutes 4 days a week to practice (hello, commuting time). Help out Future You meet your goals by building in the time or time-based reminders to help her get there.
As I said — it ain’t sexy. But it is effective.
If you want help getting there — and managing the rest of life too — check out my Bright Method program here. Let’s make this year one for the books.
