It’s Friday – which means, it’s Planning Day!
I’m a huge fan of planning on Friday afternoons for two main reasons.
❶ Most of us are typically done bringing our intellectual and creative A-games by Friday afternoon.
While it’s always hard to slow down to plan, it’s helpful to know you’re doing it when you likely wouldn’t be getting your best work done anyway.
❷ You get to strut into your weekend knowing you’re on top of it all!
After my planning session, I get this weird high. It’s the one time a week when I feel 100% confident that nothing’s fallen through the cracks, that I have a game plan to get EVERYTHING on my plate done, and that it doesn’t require me to work RIGHT NOW.
I want you to have that feeling going into your weekend. Planning on Sunday or Monday just doesn’t get you there.
Side note: I get it if you DO have to work some over the weekend. This planning session is even more critical for you because I want you to be clear on exactly what you have to get done to make next week work – and then know when you’re DONE & can enjoy the rest of your weekend. Make sense?
If you’re thinking, “okay, I’m in – but what do I do during that planning session?,” great question. I’ve been there, too.
I want you to feel on track. Let me show you how to lay down the track. I hope to see you in my six-week time management program where we go over the details of the planning session!
